Small holder farmers often experience frequent conflicts with cattle-grazers over access to and use of natural resources (water sources, pasture and farm land). Irregular and poor rainfall in recent years has led to a reduction of 40 percent of planted areas in Cameroon. Land degradation in advanced stages is occurring across many areas of Cameroon. Our project aims at securing land rights and resources, as well as promote methods and approaches aimed at increasing the participation of indigenous communities, youths and women towards inclusive and participatory land management.
