Result of Service Ensure stated deliverables under your responsibility are delivered within, scope, time, quality and budget requirements: - Monthly Progress report for each Smart Camp Project. - Ensure camps are built as per design and to stakeholders’ requirements. - Support with the generate the Bills of Quantity and equipment required per Smart camp project. - Tracking and closure of Smart Camp Projects/tasks (Project Report).

Duties and Responsibilities The Consultant will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of the Smart Camp construction process.

The Consultant will be responsible for the following duties: - Be fully involved in the planning, design, and oversight of new construction projects, including developing statement of works, bills of quantities and drawings as part of a team. - Involved in developing technical data regarding materials, size dimensions, quantities and costs to be incorporated into formal specifications. - Conduct on site assessments for planning of Smart camps to support the design process. - Ensure building plans issued are up to date and on site and any revisions are timely provided and discussed with the site foreman. - Ensure lay down areas and implementing partners accommodation is not obstructing any proposed work areas. - Ensure the implementation partners are adequately resourced to undertake project work inclusive of life support. - Engage with stakeholders to keep them updated and report on concerns. - Ensure Environmental impact assessments and identified constrains are complied with. - Create a project schedule that captures the WBS and activities and track and report on project progress. - Provide professional inputs with regards to planning, monitoring, and controlling and quality management of all aspects of the project. - Identify issues or potential issues that will impact the project scope, budget and schedule and initiate corrective action. - Evaluate tasking and prioritize work for implementation in conjunction with implementing partners. - Ensure that implementing partners conduct quality control and health and safety requiremtns are adhered to. - Conduct daily monitoring of onsite progress reports and project schedules and provide feedback on support requested by the site supervisors and actions taken to resolve equipment and materials deficiencies on site. - Ensure all logistic requirements for projects are acted upon and communicated to the Quarter Master and ensure distribution to work sites. - Ensure that project implementation is monitored and controlled and scheduled quality assurance checks are documented, reported, and acted upon. - Ensure equipment issued to implementing partners are serviceable, controlled and accounted for on site. - Ensure the BOQ is monitored and updated to reflect actual quantities used and consumed and ensure materials and equipment is positioned to work sites well in advance of construction timelines. - Initiate material reservations within UMOJA and prepare gate passes. - Initiate Quality Assurance Reports at work sites. - Take part in planning meetings with Supply Chain Management on behalf of Smart Camp Team. - Partake in Technical Evaluations of equipment and materials to be supplied. - Conduct visual remote inspections of material supplied to Entebbe to be delivered to Abyei Box for Smart Camp projects. - Draft Statement of Requirement as required. - Reporting: o Review daily reports and project schedules of implementing partners and provide feedback and updates. o Update and report on project schedule. o Prepare quality reports. o Provide feedback on stakeholder engagements. o Prepare end of project report

Qualifications/special skills Bachelor ‘s degree in building engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, with a project management certification (PMP or Prince2). Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision with desired experience in setting up compounds/camps in remote and austere environments. Knowledge of construction best practices, procedures, and safety regulations is desirable.

Languages Fluency in oral and written English is required.
