The Project Officer will represent the Regional Director and representative on the UNCT and other appropriate coordination forums in Malawi. The incumbent serves as UNESCO’s point of contact for various high-level internal and external audiences including government, cooperating partners and other international actors on Education for Health and Wellbeing in Malawi. The Project Officer will be responsible for overseeing UNESCO’s Education for Health and Wellbeing Portfolio specifically, the “Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future” (O3) Programme. More specifically, the incumbent will undertake the following tasks and responsibilities: Long Description **Programmes** - Coordinate of the Program Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3) where Malawi is a Program Acceleration country and coordinate the UNAIDS funded UBRAF portfolio for UNESCO Malawi; - Provide strategic oversight of UNESCO’s expanded programming on Education for Health and Wellbeing including supervision of the expanded Education for Health and Wellbeing team in Malawi; - Engage in joint programming and budgeting exercises with a wide range of partners in support of UNESCO's program especially work in the areas of comprehensive sexuality education, gender and school-related gender-based violence, supporting sexual reproductive health (SRH) responses in higher and tertiary institutions, young key affected populations young people with disability; - Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on UNESCO’s work on Education for Health and Wellbeing; - Identify opportunities for UNESCO engagement in Education for Health and Wellbeing policy development and programming within the framework of the UNESCO’s new strategy on Education for Health and Well-being, national strategies, and the UNAIDS division of labor; - Identify funding opportunities and support the development of project/grant proposals, including the development of results assessment frameworks (log frames) and budgets.
