Long Description ---------------- The Project Officer- Education will carry out the following responsibilities: 1. Coordinate the implementation of the Extrabudgetary Project: Support to Girls’ Right to Education and Safeguarding Cultural Heritage through Education in Pakistan (534PAK1000). 2. Travel (missions) to the implementation sites and report on the status of the execution; 3. Liaise with the local authorities and project partners; 4. Liaise with the M&E program officer and exchange data and information; 5. Develop periodic progress reports and updates in SISTER. Long Description ---------------- 6\. Ensure budget utilization in accordance with UNESCO’s and donors rules and regulations; 7\. Verify and request payments through the Administrative Project Officer. 8\. Maintain confidential and general files and establish reference systems; 9\. Manage project budget and inform the supervisor on financial status of project 10\. implementation. Long Description ---------------- 11\. Keep track of budget expenditure and alert the supervisor and concerned managers to avoid potential shortfalls in funds (validating information and identifies any errors or irregularities); 12\. Identify any other anomalies and errors; alert the supervisor and undertake transactions to correct errors/omissions. 13\. Provide assistance, advice and briefings to newly arrived staff, experts and consultants on basic procedures when required. 14\. Take lead in the pre-selection of vendors; 15\.
