• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Agri-Business Management, Economics, Project Management, or any related field.
• At least One (01) year experience in project management, preferably in women's empowerment or community development.
• Strong understanding of gender equality issues and women's rights.
• Experience in cash-based programming and food security initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to deliver within tight deadlines.

The Opportunity:

The Project Officer of the SheCan Project has the critical role to ensuring that the project aligns with the National Inclusive Finance Strategy (SNFI) of Cameroon, and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships).

Based in the East Region, Project Officer will undertake frequent field visits to project sites to oversee implementation, provide technical assistance, and build strong relationships with beneficiaries, partners, and local stakeholders. In your role, you will also be charged with addressing barriers to financial access, promote gender-equitable practices, and enhance the overall impact of the SheCan project in improving the lives of women, children, and communities in the East Region of Cameroon.

The Individual/About You:

As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for the effective development of detailed annual and quarterly work plans, budgeting, and resource allocation aligned with the SheCan project’s objectives. You will also oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring timely execution and adherence to established standards and guidelines.

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions (MFIs), government agencies (MINADER, MINFI, MINCOMMERCE), local NGOs, and community leaders, for strong project implementation remains also part of your primary duties, as we as serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
