Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, provides project management oversight, support, and direction to subaward related projects, including setting subaward management and monitoring standards and expectations, developing and promoting tools, guidance, and standard operating procedures. Liaise with project teams and enterprise service to contribute to subaward related audit activities. Manage efforts to meet internal and external compliance and contractual requirements related to subaward processes. Ensure overall success of assigned initiatives by developing appropriate project implementation plans to include but not limited to scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management. Participate and at times lead cross-organizational and Operations-are working groups. Collaborates with stakeholders across Groups and geographies.

Accountabilities:

  • Manages and oversees the development of projects related to subaward management and monitoring from initiation to completion.
  • Manages development of tools, resources, guidance, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to support effective, high-quality, and compliant subaward development, management and monitoring practices.
  • Develop and conduct compliance spot check procedures related subaward and prime award management.
  • Contributes to internal and external audit activities related to subaward management and monitoring.
  • Participate on, and manage, cross Operations and cross Group working groups and initiatives, as assigned.
  • Support project teams and Operations areas in process enhancement and improvement efforts.
  • Identifies and resolves project issues and implements improvement plans to ensure project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Coaches, mentors, and manages project team to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance with project and organizational standards/policies.
  • Builds, develops, and grows partnerships vital to the success of assigned projects.
  • Manages the operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects in a matrix environment.
  • Manages the development of project teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans related to subaward and prime award monitoring and management.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

  • Decisions and actions have serious implications with delays in project schedules, operations and may affect overall business activities.
  • Problems are complex and require analysis of situations and data with evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques to obtain results.

Supervision Given/Received:

  • Engages staff and external project members to achieve goals and vision of project from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinates project plans, budgets, training, and resources with management to achieve strategic goals.
  • Typically reports to a Director.

Education: **

  • Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent.
  • Project Management (PM) Certification preferred

Experience: **

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience with projects management principles and
  • practices. Work with subaward processes and audit engagements highly preferred. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Typical office environment. Constantly uses a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Technology to be Used:

  • Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams), cell phone/mobile technology, and standard office equipment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

US Based Hiring Salary Range: $85,000 - $106,000

International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
