Overview

Lead implementation of Mental Health Strategy and Digital Platforms.

You have:

  • Masters degree in Project Management and/or Mental Health or a related field relevant to the position.
  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive project management experience, preferably within a Military Context or UN context or similar international organisations.
  • Experience with Digital communication program development and deployment in field settings.
  • Experience with advocacy of Mental Health.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other official United Nations languages is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Org. Setting and Reporting The Department of Operational Support (DOS) was established to provide end-to-end operational support, advisory services and other solutions to operating entities across the Secretariat, including departments, offices away from headquarters, peace operations, and regional commissions. The Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH) provides expert healthcare management and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) services to all UN Secretariat entities (Field missions, Offices Away from Headquarters and Economic Commissions), the New York based agencies funds and programs, as well as providing strategic leadership of whole-of-system medical issues through the UN Medical Directors Network.

• Formulation of detailed project plans for the implementation of the Mental Health Strategy of Uniformed Personnel in the field and the rolling out of the Digital Mental Health Platform • Outline project objectives, timelines, and milestones. • Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team including a communications specialist and the technology team working on the development of the Digital App. • Participate in Visits to the UN Missions to a) Understand the operational environment and integrate practical feedback into the Mental Health Strategy. b) Facilitate training and workshops for uniformed personnel to utilise the Mental Health Strategy effectively. • Develop and implement an evaluation framework to assess the impact and effectiveness of the Mental Health Strategy. • Generate progress reports and presentations that provide insights into project status, risks, and outcomes. Maintain close liaison with the Communications Officer of the Mental Health Strategy in DHMOSH/DOS. • Uphold the highest quality assurance standards for the project, including data protection and user privacy in the digital platform development • Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans to address potential field-related challenges.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other official United Nations languages is an advantage.
