You have:
- Bachelor's degree.

- Prosci practitioner certification an asset.
- Fluent command of English and French (English essential).

- 8-12 years' professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in successful project management.
- Financial management experience (budgeting and resource allocation).

Purpose
Project Manager 1 manages a small or medium-sized project and ensures its successful delivery within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget. The role stands alone or is part of a wider programme.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities
- Maintains an overview of the project's progress and expected benefits, and a detailed view of the status of individual deliverables.
- Organizes, prepares, conducts, coordinates, facilitates and reports on all project management activities necessary to achieve the project's objectives, in accordance with the ICRC's Project Management Framework.
- Ensures that project controls are performed and recorded, conveying any changes in scope, time or budget to the Steering Committee for validation.
- Maintains a detailed work plan, documenting and managing interdependencies and risks while ensuring that appropriate risk-mitigation measures are in place and regularly monitored.
- Works with other divisions/units to mobilize relevant support and expertise to deliver the project, ensuring the backing of and coordination with key stakeholders in the field and at headquarters during implementation.
- Reviews/approves the work plans of external service providers or consultancies contracted for the project.
- Develops and implements a strategy to accompany the changes brought on by the project, for instance through communication and training.

- Total project budget is typically up to Sfr 2 million.
- The project typically impacts one unit or division, with limited interdependencies that would affect deployment.
- Changes are foreseen in up to 2 macro-processes.
- The project impacts a limited number of end users.
- Change magnitude is rated under 50 according to the Project Management Office's project-change scale.
Relationships
- Internally, interacts with the project sponsor, Project Management Office, Project Board, Monitoring Panel, Steering Committee and stakeholders impacted by the project (directly or through an interdependency). Also interacts with the Information and Communication Technologies Division for projects with an IT component.
- Externally, interacts with suppliers.
Certifications / Education required
- Bachelor's degree.
- Project management training a must.
