This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the authority delegated to the UNODC supervisor (Specialist on Data Monitoring and Evaluation/ Juridical Supervisor/ Social Protection Supervisor) or their mandated representative (s), the UN Volunteer Project Management Assistant will:

  • Assist in administrative processes, report production and similar technical products;
  • Provide technical support in project management;
  • Assist in material procurement and service contracting processes related to the project;
  • Participate in virtual events and prepare reports;
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Education - Additional Comments:

Bachelor of Business Administration, Public Management, Accounting, Law, Social Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Humanities or related fields.

It will be considered an asset to have a post-graduation course (lato or stricto sensu) in the areas of Administration, Public Management, Law, Social Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Humanities or similar areas.

Required experience:

36 Months

Experience remark:

  • Minimum 3 years professional or academic experience in the areas of Justice, Human Rights, Penitentiary System, Public Security, Public Management, Administrative Proceedings or similar areas;
  • Previous works on pre-trial detention hearing, flagrant arrest records or the prison system's gateway mechanism will be considered an asset.

Language skills:

  • Portuguese(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
