  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree on any course related to Nutrition, Public Health, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
  • Certifications from any Research, Ethics, and Compliance Training (not required, but highly preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the Programme Research Unit in coordinating and implementing research activities for the situational analysis of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) supply readiness in the Philippines. The role requires providing additional support in examining and analyzing the existing system and policy context related to MMS, as well as assessing subnational Iron Folic Acid (IFA)/MMS financing, procurement, and supply mechanisms.

The position is based in Quezon City and requires frequent travel to selected area programs of WVDF throughout the country (i.e. Sorsogon, Naga City, Pangasinan, Batangas and Bohol).

More specifically, the job requires to do the following key tasks and duties:

Project Management, Coordination and Administrative Support (35%)

▪ Assist the Programme Research Unit in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities at the national and subnational levels

▪ Support the development and implementation of the detailed work plan, coordination matrix, and reporting schedule

▪ Coordinate with Sight and Life (SAL), Department of Health (DOH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), regional health offices, local government units, and other stakeholders for official communications, data access, and field endorsements

▪ Assist with drafting official communication/coordination letters/emails to local government units, stakeholders, and respondents

▪ Assist in completing and submitting liquidations or reimbursements of approved study expenses following financial policy

▪ Identify and promptly report issues that may affect the accuracy and quality of project design and implementation to meet the objectives

Data Collection, Management and Quality Assurance (35%)

▪ Assist in the development, review, and pre-testing of data collection tools such as survey questionnaires, interview guides, and focus group discussion templates

▪ Organize, oversee, and conduct data collection activities, including desk review, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and other related tasks

▪ Supervise and support local enumerators and transcribers to ensure data quality and adherence to protocols

▪ Support transcription, data cleaning, and synthesis for the analysis and reporting phases

Report Preparation and Quality Review (25%)

▪ Assist in finalizing the research protocol for submission to the ethics review board

▪ Support in preparing complete documentation of all the procedures done from research conceptualization, planning to report writing

▪ Assist in writing of research reports and technical outputs highlighting salient results from the analysis

Engage in Organizational Mandated Activities (10%)

▪ Complete all mandated staff training/orientations

▪ Engage in Relief Operations and Emergency Response (as needed)

▪ Regularly Participate in Spiritual Nurture Activities (e.g. Monday Devotion, Corporate Prayer and Day of Prayer)

▪ Participate as committee member or special task/assignment as deemed necessary

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing and implementing projects related to supplementation programs within an NGO or humanitarian context.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree on any course related to Nutrition, Public Health, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
  • Certifications from any Research, Ethics, and Compliance Training (not required, but highly preferred)

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:

  • The position is based in Quezon City and requires frequent travel toselected area programs of WVDF throughout the country (i.e.Sorsogon, Naga City, Pangasinan, Batangas and Bohol)
