Contract Period: Fixed- Term contract/ maternity cover (1-2 years) dependent on the return of the postholder

Duty station: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Reports to: Strategy and Evidence Lead

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Implementation (50%)

  • Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the project in target areas with local government units, community-based organizations, inter-agency networks, faith-based organizations, churches, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate consultative planning, reflection, and feedback with project stakeholders.
  • Implement project approaches such as Child Protection, Channels of Hope (CoH), Home Visitor (HV), Celebrating Families (CF), Empowering World View (EWV), and community engagement in cooperation with key stakeholders and project beneficiaries.
  • Manage project budgets efficiently in consultation with key partners, ensuring funds are spent in alignment with budgets and on time, with management and donor approval.
  • Ensure program expenditures are within the project budget and comply with World Vision’s financial policies and donor (WVUS) requirements.
  • Maintain program accountability and sustainability drivers throughout program implementation.
  • Mobilize and support the creation, mobilization, and strengthening of community groups and key stakeholders to catalyze community engagement and improve child well-being.
  • Prepare project documentation and reporting to ensure all required reports are submitted on time, accurately, and completely. This includes providing information for monthly reports, quarterly reports, monitoring checklists, updated indicator tracking tables, and project documentation.
  • Complete the project Visibility Plan in a timely manner, following US requirements, and prepare all necessary data and information in the required formats

Project Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting (15%)

  • Monitor the performance of contractors.
  • Lead effective monitoring in project target areas and collate and supply monitoring data to the Faith and Development Manager and World Vision technical programs.
  • Develop high-quality project reports that are engaging for donor audiences.
  • Ensure monitoring information is used to improve project performance and is made available for technical program reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Donor Visibility Plan in line with donor requirements.
  • Support, as required, the development of grant project proposals and designs.

Networking and Coordination (10%)

  • Identify new partners within and outside the community and determine how these partners can collaborate towards shared priorities for project effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including local government officials, community leaders, civil society organizations, faith-based and other faith organizations, and relevant departments/units to enhance program team effectiveness.
  • Engage in advocacy and communication with staff.
  • Ensure program priorities and approaches are aligned with community, partner, and donor requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with donors and partners in the project fields.

Advisory Council Support (15%)

  • Support the National Director in working with the Advisory Council.
  • Provide additional support as required.

General (10%)

  • Contribute to the common goals and aspirations of WVI Mongolia and be an active member of the team.
  • Attend devotions and weekly chapel services, and support the spiritual development of the team.
  • Ensure staff and partners understand WV safeguarding and anti-corruption policies.
  • Promote awareness and reporting of child protection incidents across the project area.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Faith and Development Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
