The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to the Project Director and project team with the aim of achieving expected results in Child Protection Area of the project assigned components. The project coordinator will identify and raise child protection, child sexual trafficking and forced child labor issues and root causes in project target areas, coordinate and mobilize stakeholders, develop, review & update systems and tools that will meet the needs of vulnerable children in compliance with Mongolian Child Protection Law and other regulations as well as WV CP minimum requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination and implementation of assigned objectives: • Responsible for day-to-day management of project activities. • Ensure the implementation, monitoring of the project work plan and procurement plans, and report results to the Project Director, WVIM other departments, and stakeholders • Liase with implementing agencies and NGOs under the project • Organize and facilitate the project related discussion meetings, workshops and other events • Contribute to the development of detail annual work plans, M&E related plans and other documents • Develop, coordinate and finalize the ToRs and training plans for consultancy services • Contribute and support in the development of agreements with contractors and consultants, review/monitor the quality of deliverables, and ensure overall coordination among consultants (firms and individuals) • Prepare and contribute to the development of quarterly and annual reports, and other required reports • Prepare briefing and information on project activities for external stakeholders and partners when required

• Provide inputs/advice to project implementation in the area of child protection, child sexual trafficking and forced child labor • Promote and raise awareness on the relationship between child vulnerability and protection among children, communities, religious institutions and government. • Assist Project Director in WV initiatives as required. • Monitor, analyze and evaluate processes and protocols to inform relevant stakeholders towards enhancing the effectiveness of child protection. • Ensure application of WVIM Child Protection Policy and Protocols and Safeguarding policy in frame of the project implementation. • Contribute in the design of appropriate CP project models, training handbooks, training agenda and curriculums and online training curriculums • Advice on community based child protection mechanisms. • Collaborate, raise awareness and influence like-minded organizations to become an agent of change with regard to the rights and protection of children. • Identify, share / facilitate access to resources and appropriate materials, learning and support opportunities related to CP for program staff. • Identify competencies and CP capacity requirements for stakeholders, communities and civil society organizations in frame of CP Compact project implementation.

• Identify competencies and CP capacity requirement at special projects, ADP and community level and develop appropriate plan with team. • Keep abreast with the latest trends and research in child abuse, protection and development and other legal issues that impact on protection of the children and enable the application of this learning in project design, implementation and decision making by WVIM. • Facilitate the process of continuous learning and documentation of best practices in CP that is appropriate to the context of Mongolia and scale up to WV Mongolia programs and projects • Facilitate the formation and coordination of networks, that contribute to the sharing of best practices and outputs, strategy formation. • Share best practices and contribute to the community of practice and centers of excellence • Collaborate, raise awareness and influence like-minded organizations to become an agent of change with regard to the rights and protection of children. • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Director.

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS: • Advanced university degree in social sciences or development studies, preferably social work, psychology and related areas. • Obtained training certificate or courses on child protection, child rights and child rights based approaches and human rights topics will be an asset • More than 5 years of work experience in a relevant sector such as child protection, child rights and/or human trafficking areas • At least 3 years of experience in project management, reporting, monitoring (both of implementation and budget) and evaluation and for US Government (USG) grants is preferred • Understanding of anti-trafficking programming and local context and USG assistance programs is an asset • Experience in building relationships and working with local authorities, national ministries, host country professionals, and donors in country • Fluency in verbal and written English and Mongolian
