The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has opened the recruitment process for a National Post (with Local salary scale) of the Project Coordinator within a project that DRC is implementing. Project Coordinator will ensure that the cash based intervention is implemented in accordance with DRC standards, methodologies and tools for cash-based intervention and in line with DRC and donor policies and guidelines.
Position: Project Coordinator
Period of engagement: 5 July 2022– 31 August 2022 with possibility of extension
Reference: The Project Coordinator refers to the Country Director and works in close cooperation with the programme staff.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure high quality implementation of the cash and distribution activities applying DRC’s methodologies, tools and standards for cash interventions and in line with project standards;
- Provide beneficiaries with effective information and support on Cash Based Assistance component of the project;
- Ensure community engagement and effective communication throughout the process (from identification, registration, verification to distribution) and ensure that feedback is collected and responded to;
- Facilitate continuous dialogue and communication between the technical partners and project staff;
- Ensure thorough review of field reports and distribution lists;
- Follow up the approved lists by Commissariat for Refugees and Migration for the refugees’ cash assistance activities;
- Ensure proper and safe data storage of the cash and distribution responses -in collaboration with the IT Officer and the Country Director;
- Oversee the management of data storage, ensuring confidentiality of information collected/services provided;
- Ensure timely and compliance donor and internal reporting, by collecting and compiling information from the field;
- Report general protection issues present in the operational areas to the DRC Protection Team and other project staff;
- Performs any other duties as assigned by Country Director.
Qualifications & experience required
- Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or other relevant field
- Experience on refugee/migration related issues
Skills and Work Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in refugee/displacement programs;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team;
- Integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to consistently meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.

- Fluency in spoken and written Serbian and English;
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel);
