The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient project management of EHF project. He /she also expected to lead the project centered at project Woreda. Furthermore, he/she is expected to communicate with various departments and keep everyone informed about any changes to the project plan. In addition, he/she will organize reporting and joint planning session meetings and provide updates to response program manager.

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans and prepare activity schedules, work plan and budget.
  • Ensure establishment of project Monitoring and supportive supervision system, and design reporting templates, and provide progress report both narrative and financial to WVE.
  • Organize and conduct different capacity building Training either for project and government staffs along with preparation and documentation of best practices.
  • Plan to strengthen partnership with community through implementation of social accountability (CVA) and Program Accountability Framework (PAF).
  • Collaborate with the project support team to conduct baseline survey, progress monitoring and end line surveys.
  • Ensure PHCU and WASH infrastructure renovation/rehabilitation as well as follow the alignment with standards.
  • Organize different PHCU and Nutrition along with WASH sector specific capacity building training to government counterparts in targeted operational woreda based on the project result framework to do so and undertake follow up after each training.
  • Conduct ongoing progress monitoring for Quality Improvement across each of targeted response woredas, identify gaps and collaborate with project team to improve delivery mechanisms.

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum three years working experience with NGOs in CMAM program Focusing on TSFP and BSFP programs.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • MSc /BSc in Public health/Health service administration/health sciences or related fields at least 5 years' work experiences for MA/MPH or 7 years for a bachelor’s degree with progressive work experience in managing multi sector projects

Certificates on:

  • Acute malnutrition 2019 revised guideline training
  • Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM
  • Integrated Pharmaceuticals Logistics System (IPLS)
  • Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience working in Emergency Response settings in senior management team Excellent writing and communication skills in English required and proven ability to give effective and engaging presentations.
  • Strong, interpersonal, communication, networking and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to meet frequent and competing deadlines while maintaining technical quality Experience in the management of field-based program and research activities.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and good understanding of both National and International Humanitarian response protocols and implementation guidelines.
  • Good human relation skills.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions.
  • Strong adherence to World Vision values.
  • Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity and integrity.
  • Prepared to live and work in a remote and uncertain security environment.
  • Fluent in oral and written Amharic, English and Local language
