This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

• As an active [UNDP] team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to [UNDP] and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including: • Coordinate with GoI line ministries as needed and coordinated with FFER_Fed.
• Assist the UNDP International consultants to accelerate their works with GoI LMs as requested by the project manager. • Support with conducting briefing and readout summaries to the PM and concerning parties about the upcoming trainings/meetings and workshops across Federal Iraq. • Support the development of working documents such as Concept note, roadmaps and studies for the approved plans/strategies upon request.
• Arrange, patriciate in meetings and prepare meeting minutes. • Support with preparing materials/requirements for training of GoI staff. • Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective is systematically applied, integrated and documented in all activities throughout the assignment • A final statement of achievements towards volunteerism for peace and development during the assignment, such as reporting on the number of volunteers mobilized, activities participated in and capacities developed

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Head of Governance and Economic Diversification Pillar or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Project Coordinator will: • Providing admin assistance for the FFER-Fed projects in coordination with the project staff. • Engagement as local project assocزiate consultant for assisting the UNDP International consultants to coordinate with GoI LMs as requested by the project manager. • Accompany the intranational consultants and facilitate their communication and due requests from related GoI entities. • Support with preparation of working documents such as Concept note, roadmaps and studies as requested by the project manager and ensure required data is collected from the line GoI entities. • Facilitate the coordination across GoI entities to serve the project’s implementation, as guided by UNDP team. • Provide technical inputs to the project manager/designated focal point on the workflow as needed. • Proper follow up on the project activities, and any other requirements in line with the scope of work. • Provide meeting minutes/readouts on meetings and workshops that may take place during the reporting period, and create a simple registry for the project contacts.
• Translate requires documents as guided by the project staff. • Work on communication and outreach for FFER activities in media, including creating digital graphics and reports to effectively communicate the objectives and benefits of FFER programs through various media channels. • Working on Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reports based on UNDP and donor requirements. • Working closely with PMSU to report and indicate the project activities.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. National UN Volunteers receive a volunteer living allowance to sustain a basic, adequate and safe lifestyle. This allowance varies from one location to another depending on local living costs, but all national UN Volunteers in the same location receive the same allowance. Below is a summary of the Conditions of Service. Allowances The purpose of allowances for national UN Volunteers is to enable the national UN Volunteers to sustain a modest and secure standard of living at the duty station. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward or salary in exchange for the volunteer work. Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): All national UN Volunteers are entitled to a monthly volunteer living allowance of USD 1,952.49 The purpose of this allowance is to cover the basic living costs of the national UN Volunteer, and her or his family when applicable. The allowance is to ensure that the volunteer can sustain a basic, adequate and safe lifestyle. The monthly allowance rate is a fixed rate for the duty station as established by UNV headquarters. Resettlement allowance: Eligible national UN Volunteers are entitled to receive a resettlement allowance upon satisfactory completion of the assignment. The allowance assists the volunteer to reintegrate into society both professionally and personally upon completion of their UN Volunteer service. As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
