You have:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in project implementation support
- Administrative and programme experience at national and/or international level
- Strong skills in drafting, writing and editing in English
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage

IOM works to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems, and to support the systematic and humane management of migration in order to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need.
Within the framework of the protection portfolio IOM Türkiye supports the Government of Türkiye in strengthening migration management and preparatory actions for potential voluntary returns to Syria from Türkiye. Interventions also include central and local level capacity-building initiatives for PM staff that will increase their knowledge and skills in prioritized migration management subjects.
The UN Volunteer will work under the direct supervision of IOM’s National Officer and overall supervision of Protection Coordinator and will support the implementation of the project under the Protection Department of IOM Türkiye.
Under direct supervision of IOM's National Officer, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities. • Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics. • Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc. • Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest corrective measures. • Draft reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, minutes of meetings and other forms of documentation. • Support organization of meetings, workshops, study visits, field visits, trainings and events; including the development of background materials and other relevant reports and documentation. Ensure logistics are properly undertaken. • Drafts routine correspondence and translates as necessary. • Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The UN Volunteer will be based in Ankara and responsible for arranging her/his own housing and other living essentials.
Summary of National UN Volunteer Entitlements: (Paid in local currency) • Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) is USD 1,291.83 (Paid in Turkish Lira) • Entry lump sum: USD 350 • Exit allowance: USD 120 per month (accumulated and paid at the end of the assignment) • Private insurance: Health, dental, life, and dismemberment (coverage by CIGNA) As per UN’s diplomatic mission status, it is not included in National Security Institution’s (SGK) system, but can be only initiated on private basis. • Free access to different learning platforms and UN & UNV network
