Duties and Responsibilities

In 2021, under the Korea-ESCAP Cooperation Fund (KECF), ESCAP and the government of the Republic of Korea embarked on a project “Integrating policy and data to leave no one behind in selected countries in Asia and the Pacific” aiming to enhance inclusiveness and coverage of policy documents for the selected sectors and develop comprehensive indicator frameworks to address the needs of policy-makers and the most vulnerable groups in project countries. Building upon the lessons from this project, this work is extended in 2024 to introduce the Every Policy is Connected (EPiC) framework to more countries and sectors. The main objective of this project is to enhance the capacity of the national officials engaged in policy formulation, monitoring and official statistics to a) effectively engage in muti-stakeholder consultations for formulating inclusive policies and assessing data needs, b) be able to develop indicator frameworks that are fully aligned with policy priorities, address data disaggregation requirements and better inform production of official statistics. As part of the implementation for this project and to support the capacity building work on data and statistics, SD is seeking the support of a project assistant. The project assistant is expected to be actively engaged in the administrative aspects of the project.
