Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship The position of Project Analyst is assigned to the Human and Social Development Sector Office (HSD) within the Sectors Group (SG). HSD was established to deliver impactful sector policy dialogue, initiatives, and solutions that advance ADB’s strategic agenda in the region and with ADB’s clients in the human and social development sector. The HSD Sector Office has three responsibilities: (i) conceptualize, process, and administer financial and technical assistance (TA) operations and deliver knowledge services to clients; (ii) support resident missions in their country engagement, lead technical work on sector diagnostics and country sector road maps, and contribute to business development efforts; and (iii) ensure ADB’s technical leadership externally and internally.

The HSD Sector Office has six teams: (i) regional team for Central, West, and East Asia region; (ii) regional team for Pacific countries and Southeast Asia region; (iii) regional team for South Asia region; (iv) practice team for education; (v) practice team for health; and (vi) practice team for social development.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the designated International Staff (IS) and senior National Staff (NS).

Your Role

As a Project Analyst, you will provide broad analytical and statistical support with respect to the assigned portfolio including technical support in portfolio management, project administration, project processing activities related to loans and technical assistance (TA), knowledge work, budget management activities. You will provide oversight support in coordinating and consolidating information to achieve a specific functional result.

Additional Information

The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.

Staff on probation are not eligible to apply. Applicants for promotion must have served at their position for at least one year and must have normally served at their personal level for at least two years immediately preceding the date of the vacancy closing date. Applicants for lateral transfer must have served at their position and personal level for at least one year immediately preceding the date of the vacancy closing date (reference A.O. 2.03, paragraphs 5.8 and 5.9).

In the event that the staff appointed to a new category (i.e., from AS to NS, or from NS to IS) is rated at 2 or lower in the first two performance reviews after appointment at the new level, they will return to the level occupied immediately prior to their appointment in the new category.

Please note that the actual level and salary will be based on qualifications of the selected candidate.
