Provide administrative support for project management activities.
You have:
- Diploma or certifications in administration, business or project management. A first degree in management or administration would be an asset.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in logistics and support to full sized projects.
- Working knowledge (level C) of English with strong writing and presentation skills.
- National of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Organizational Setting
The government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is undertaking its Readiness activities for accessing Green Climate Fund (GCF) resources for addressing climate change. The project will involve building the capacity of stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago’s water and agriculture sectors to implement, analyze and report on proven adaptation solutions. The activities under this Readiness will provide evidential detail to guide the Government’s approach to managing the impacts of climate change.
Reporting Lines
Under the direct supervision of the FAO Representative for Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname Country Office in Trinidad, Lead Technical Consultant and in liaison with the National Authorities – Designated Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (Ministry of Planning and Development) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.

Tasks and responsibilities
• Support the Lead Technical Specialist in overall coordination and implementation of the project. • Provide procurement, and administration support for all components of the project including support to the Lead Technical Specialist, the Project Board, the Project Steering Committee and the Project Management Unit (PMU). • Coordinate the organizing and conducting of assessments, consultations and workshops, including arranging logistics. • Facilitate logistical arrangements with national stakeholders for the various consultancies under the project. • Assist with the preparation of all the necessary periodic administrative and financial monitoring reports inclusive of project work plans, financial status, human resource and procurement plans, • Continuous monitoring and updates of the project in FAO’s management systems (FPMIS, GRMS) • Follow-up and take corrective measures as necessary to overcome operational constraints • Support the Lead Technical Specialist with project document control and distribution by maintaining logs of updated project documentation, meeting minutes, compilation and dissemination of reference material to committees in the appropriate format. • Perform general project administration duties such as the filing, copying, cataloguing, retrieval and dissemination of correspondence and other documentation. • Assist in event management inclusive of request for estimates for goods and services, drafting of relevant correspondence, selection of venues and travel arrangements of attendees (including security clearances as necessary). • Other tasks as needed for the project implementation.
