You have:
- University degree in Administration, Business, Social Sciences, Languages or related fields
- At least one year of relevant experience in programme or administrative support work
- Working knowledge of English (Proficient - level C) is required
- Limited knowledge of one official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) would be an asset
- National of the Republic of Korea or resident of the country with a valid work permit
Organizational Setting
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Partnership and Liaison Office (FAO PLO) in the Republic of Korea was officially open on 13 May 2019. The FAO PLO provides its full commitment and support for stronger country participation in FAO’s framework and programme and enhancement of partnership and cooperation at primarily national, and also regional, interregional and global levels.
The FAO PLO in the Republic of Korea will communicate and cooperate with all FAO HQs divisions/offices and RAP teams, the Government agencies and all other partners in the Republic of Korea, including the UN agencies, academies, and institutions, the private sector, and others in the service of FAO’s framework. The post is located in the FAO PLO in the Republic of Korea.
Reporting Lines
Under the overall guidance of the FAO Representative and Head of FAO PLO in ROK, the incumbent shall be supervised by the Assistant FAO Representative and Office Assistant of FAO PLO in ROK.
Tasks and responsibilities
The incumbent will work on the following tasks some of which will be completed in parallel, and others will be completed sequentially:
• Preparing programme materials (PPTs, meeting materials, etc.) of FAO’s main initiatives and RAP’s priority areas to be shared with partners; • Searching relevant information and conducting necessary analysis accordingly; • Assisting in arranging high-level meetings between FAOR and high-level officials of the ROK government, agencies, institutions, international organizations, civil society organizations, etc.; • Assisting in drafting FAOR’s itinerary and programme for missions of FAOR; • Assisting Assistant FAOR in drafting concept notes for resource mobilization; • Assisting in designing capacity-building programmes in collaboration with partners and FAO country offices; • Providing supportive administrative services including travel, procurement, human resources, and finance-related services; • Assisting in enhancing PLO’s visibility including bi-weekly updates, PLO’s website, and Twitter; • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
• University degree/ University degree/technical diploma/high school diploma in Administration, Business, Social Sciences, Languages or other fields related to the FAO mandate • At least one years of relevant experience in programme or administrative support work • Working knowledge of English (Proficient – level C) is required and limited knowledge of one of official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) would be an asset • National of the Republic of Korea or resident of the country with a valid work permit

• Working experience at International Organizations is desired • Good knowledge of FAO corporate information systems; including use of the Field Programme Management Information System (FPMIS) to monitor a list of programmes/projects supported by the ROK government • Good knowledge of common administrative rules and regulations • Good knowledge of communication and documentation standards
