Result of Service The work of the Coordinating Unit of the CMS Raptors MoU and CMS Office – Abu Dhabi is supported in an effective and professional manner.

Expected duration 6 months

Duties and Responsibilities Support in a timely and professional manner the work of the Coordinating Unit of the CMS Raptors MoU and CMS Office – Abu Dhabi including:

a) Well-supported and effective day-to-day functioning of the Coordinating Unit of the Raptors MoU, including handling correspondence, arranging telecoms and other routine administrative activities; b) A comprehensive and up-to-date core contacts mailing list; c) Accurate and up-to-date websites associated with CMS Office – Abu Dhabi; d) Well-supported and effective organization of international meetings (virtual or in-person), either led or supported by the Coordinating Unit or CMS Office – Abu Dhabi, including contributing to drafting meeting documents, briefing materials, travel arrangements for delegates, other logistics and giveaways; e) High quality written drafts of letters, emails, notes of meetings, proposals, agreements, and web stories produced in a timely manner; f) Well-supported and effective liaison between the Coordinating Unit and partners; g) Development and dissemination of various communication materials for CMS Office – Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Fully proficient computer skills including the use of standard PC software such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required. Experience in website content creation and management is desirable. Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in conservation biology, environmental sciences, international relations, communication, international law, or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in conservation biology, environmental management, international relations, communication, international law, or related area. Experience in international settings is desirable. Experience in multilateral environmental agreement(s) is desirable. Language: Fluency in English (writing, speaking) is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
