You have:
- Advanced university degree in Economics, Social sciences, development studies or International Affairs, or first degree with additional years of experience.
- At least one year of postgraduate professional experience in development projects, emergency assistance, and/or operational aspects of national, bilateral or multilateral food aid.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
- Additional experience in delivery of cash-based interventions and on the use of SCOPE platform is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver timely high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Ability to write quality reports and policy documents.
- Ability to liaise with donors, partners and establish innovative partnerships on issues of hunger, malnutrition and food-based programs and capacity development.
- Experience in organizing workshops with government agencies and partners at national and sub-national levels.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as MS Excel.

What will you do?
Under the supervision of Transfer Management Team Leader and overall supervision of the Head of Programme, the successful candidate will:
- Support WFP Area Offices (AO) to design, plan and deliver cash-based transfers through the SCOPE platform for targeted beneficiaries.
- Review partner proposals for Cash-based Transfers (CBT) to ensure the most effective and appropriate way of delivering the WFP assistance and overall effectiveness of CBT modality.
- Provide effective support to AOs in SCOPE related activities to strengthen planning and timely implementation of both CBT and In- kind programming.
- Assist to ensure that transfers and related processes within Somalia Country Office are managed according to WFP corporate guidelines, standards, and procedures.
- Liaise with different functional units to ensure coordinated design and implementation of cash, voucher and in-kind food transfers.
- Liaise with M&E Unit and Communication focal points, analyse feedback from beneficiaries, and provide appropriate responses.
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate reporting on transfers and CBT activities. Ensure consistency of information and assist in compiling monthly statistics, data and figures extracted from SCOPE.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Advanced university degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Economics, Social sciences, development studies or International Affairs or First degree with additional years of experience.
Experience: At least one year of postgraduate professional experience in development projects, emergency assistance, and/or operational aspects of national, bilateral or multilateral food aid. Experience in designing and implementation of cash-based interventions is desirable.
Language: Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Additional experience in delivery of cash-based interventions and on the use of SCOPE platform is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently on analytical and technical matters with minimum supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver timely high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Ability to write quality reports and policy documents.
- Ability to liaise with donors, partners and establishing innovative partnerships on issues of hunger, malnutrition and food-based programs and capacity development.
- Experience in organizing workshops with government agencies and partners at national and sub national levels.
- Proficiency in the using data analysis tools such as MS excel.
