You have:
- Advanced University degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Disaster Management, Sustainable Development or First University Degree in relevant areas.
- At least 5 years of experience in development sector, corporate firm, and government in coordination, proposal development, strategies/policies formulation, food security, nutrition, communication, report writing and management.
- Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu.
- Knowledge of program development, policy and strategy development, knowledge management, coordination, communication, financial and administrative management, and report writing.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
This job is based in Office of the Member, Food Security & Climate Change, Planning Commission, Islamabad.
JOB PURPOSE
The support will work with government under the supervision of Member FS&CC and assist both the member and SUN Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Secretariat in the following objectivities/areas:
Over all Objectives:
- Provide support to the Member FS&CC and SUN Secretariat in:
- Policy formulation and strategies development in line with national and international developments and commitments
- Program development including proposal /PC-I development
- Data analysis, reporting and communication
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and events with SUN Secretariat and all other relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate optimal and timely preparation of technical documents and harness synergies among federal and provincial governments, other stakeholders and effectively lease with SUN secretariat
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the overall supervision of Member FS&CC with the support of SUN Secretariat and in close coordination with SUN Focal Point/ WFP Program Officer, the candidate will provide facilitation/support in the following areas:
- Coordination with SUN Networks, development partners and other stakeholders
- Preparation of necessary program documents
- Support in planning, coordination and routine operations of the Member office
- Work in close coordination and provide guidance to the provincial and national programs management units
- Sharing updated information and collection of reports, analyzing and sharing the relevant information
- Provide project management support

Transfer Modalities (Food, Cash, Voucher) Demonstrates ability to analyse and consolidate quantitative and qualitative information from different sources (e.g., market studies) to inform transfer modality selection and programme development. Broad Knowledge of Specialized areas (i.e. Nutrition, VAM, etc.) Demonstrates the ability to interpret basic data in the context of WFP specialised fields to contribute to technical programme design, implementation and monitoring. Emergency Programming Displays capacity to provide inputs into the development, implementation and realignment of high quality emergency programmes. Strategic Policy Engagement w/ Government Develops thorough recommendations using multiple inputs (e.g., government counsel, research, own experience) to strengthen national or subnational entities and government owned food and nutrition security programmes.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Advanced University degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Disaster Management, Sustainable Development with supplementary courses, or First University Degree in relevant areas.

At least 5 years of experience of working in development sector, corporate firm and government in coordination, proposal development, strategies/policies formulation, food security, nutrition, communication, report writing and management
