In Turkey, WFP is implementing an Interim Country Strategic Plan which builds on WFP’s partnership with the Government of Turkey, non-governmental partners and the international community to safeguard the basic needs and build resilience of refugees and vulnerable host populations. As an upper middle-income country hosting the largest number of refugees in the world, Turkey is a unique context which requires strong allegiance with national priorities and strategies in order for humanitarian interventions to remain effective and relevant.
