  • Proven experience in business analysis, process improvement and leading business process automation projects using AI powered low code automation platforms (MS Power Platform) is required.
  • Proven experience in data management solution implementations as part of the data strategy execution, including experience in end user engagement and requirements gathering in an international organization is required.
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in software engineering, computer science, business administration or related field is required.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

Contract

This is a P-4 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 7 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 122,628 USD and 158,103 USD.

Org. Setting and Reporting

The mandate of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is to promote sustainable and inclusive development and regional connectivity in the Asian and Pacific region. ESCAP’s role as a regional development arm of the United Nations Secretariat is to support its membership with policy-oriented research and analysis, normative support and technical assistance and capacity building, to respond to the development priorities and changing needs of the Asian and Pacific region. This position is located in the Information Technology Section (ITS), in the Division of Administration. The incumbent reports to the Chief of ITS.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of ITS and the overall guidance of the Director, Division of Administration, the incumbent is required to perform the following functions: • Develops, implements and evaluates assigned digital transformation programmes/projects, etc.; monitors and analyzes technology solution development and implementation; reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and initiates corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; ensures follow-up actions. • Performs technology consulting, in collaboration with the client, through interactive sessions and assisting in developing the digital transformation solutions that the client will use to manage the process changes. • Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources. • Coordinates IT business solution development, including the review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studies, • Generates survey initiatives; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses, identify problems/issues and prepares conclusions. • Coordinates activities related to unit budget funding and prepares related documents/reports • Develops strategies and programmes related to data management and provides strategic advice and support to the Management of ESCAP in relation to transforming ESCAP’s business model through digital transformation technologies. • Performs other duties as required.
