You have:
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant area, e.g. law or business.
- At least 2 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Law or Business.
- Fluent in English (Mandatory).
- Fluent in Arabic (Mandatory).
- Experience with dashboards is an asset.
- Excellent drafting, formulation, and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Self-motivated ability to work with minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
Contract
This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.
Eligibility criteria
Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of task
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of [Manger of Country Collaboration and Cooperation unit ] or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV [Program Officer] will:
Assess new requests or renewal requests for due diligence from EMR countries managed via the regional office in accordance with the provisions of WHO’s Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors (FENSA) and against the criteria outlined in the Guide for Staff on engagement with non-State actors as well as Section XVII.10.1 Engagement of Non-State Actors during Emergencies of the WHO eManual and associated Standard Operating Procedure.
Conduct due diligence and risk assessment conducted along with recommendations for the engagement following the standard format adopted by PNA.
Maintain a database of requests, approvals as well as folders per country including documentation /sources consulted. Requests will come through a generic email with all documents attached. Clarifications will be asked by email and documents will be modified if needed.
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

- At least 2 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Law or Business, or other relevant programmes; experience with Dashboards is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;

- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;

- Sound security awareness;
- Have affinity with or interest in X [health], volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
