Contract

Org. Setting and Reporting The position is located in the Development and Integration team in the ERP Project office of the United Nations Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance in New York. The team is responsible for the development and Technical integration architecture, Fiori/Apps, SolMan of the Umoja project. The Programme Management Assistant will report to the Chief, SAP Development, Integration Architecture and Applications team.. For more information on Umoja visit: http://umoja.un.org Responsibilities This position will be responsible for assisting the lead of the SAP Development, Integration Architecture and Applications team in the coordination and implementation requirements to deliver the team's programme of work. This will include the coordination of programme/project planning and work for the various components of the ERP's programme/project initiatives, including in respect of implementation of SAP 'Solution Management' system, SAP Fiori, as well as the technical systems support work to the various workstreams and teams of the ERP. Within limits of delegated authority, the Programme Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: \- Supporting the Chief of the team in respect of the project plannings aspects for the team's management of the various technical and infrastructure services required by the SAP systems landscape of the ERP Umoja solution, as well as the general IT planning in said respects, specifically concerning the ongoing implementation of the 'Solution Management Assessment' system. \- Provides end-to-end support to the Chief in a wide array of operational administrative matters, such as logistical coordination of meetings as well as gathering related materials, summarizing outcome and documentation management. \- Supports project-specific activities, summarizing and entering data on the corresponding project delivery tools and repositories; drafts correspondence on ERP technical-related issues and prepares or updates periodic reports, briefing notes, graphic and statistical summaries, etc. \- Supports the team in respect of Licensing and Vendors management, including tracking work processes and compiling usage for performance and reporting. \- Provide assistance on Data extraction and Visualization matters with the Development team. \- Assists in the development of Financial-related models for SMA. \- Assist in the SAP Development team in respect of IT planning and project management for Solution Management Assessment (SMA). \- Performs other duties as assigned. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview. This equally applies, mutatis mutandis, with respect to a former or current staff member who has held or holds an appointment in another entity applying the United Nations Staff Regulations and Rules and who applies for a temporary position with the Secretariat. - Staff members of the United Nations common system organizations who will reach the mandatory age of separation or retirement within the duration of the current temporary need period are not eligible to apply.
