UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, a voice

The goal of UNICEF Ethiopia's country programme is to support the Government of Ethiopia in its commitment to respect, protect and fulfil children’s rights through six programmatic theories of change: child protection; health; learning and development; nutrition; social policy, evaluation and research; and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). The social policy, child protection and education sections manage multiple active grants with some of them having a short life span requiring close follow-up and others being large multi-year grants, some also multi-sectoral.
