Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
The dispatch of a UN Volunteer would be a significant added value to the UN Women Morocco Country Office to support the design, implementation, and documentation of digital and innovation-driven approaches within the Surging Women’s Employment Initiative (SWEI) and the broader Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) programme. The volunteer will provide dedicated technical support that complements existing programme teams, enabling UN Women Morocco to consolidate and scale digital solutions. In addition, the volunteer will support efforts to deepen collaboration with the private sector, particularly in the areas of digital innovation, skills development, and women’s access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Strengthening engagement with private sector actors—including technology companies and digital platforms—is a strategic priority for UN Women Morocco and requires dedicated technical capacity to identify opportunities, support partnerships, and contribute to joint initiatives aligned with women’s economic empowerment objectives. The volunteer will also support communication and advocacy efforts during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, where support is needed to increase impact of awareness-raising initiatives, partnerships, and visibility.
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Digital Innovation for Women’s Economic Empowerment (SWEI & WEE) • Support the integration of digital tools and innovation driven approaches across the Surging Women’s Employment Initiative (SWEI) and other Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) programmes, in line with programme objectives and national priori-ties. • Assist in mapping, engaging, and coordinating with key stakeholders—including public institutions, private sector actors (notably technology companies and digital platforms), civil society organizations, and academic partners—to support innovation driven approaches for women’s economic empowerment. • Contribute to the documentation of good practices, lessons learned, and emerging models related to digital innovation and women’s employment and entrepreneurship, including the preparation of brief knowledge products and internal learning materials. • Support knowledge sharing within UN Women Morocco to strengthen coherence and learning across programmes. Advocacy, Communication and Partnerships / 16 Days of Activism • Support UN Women Morocco’s advocacy and communication efforts during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence campaign by contributing to the development of content and messaging aligned with campaign objectives. • Contribute to awareness raising activities, including support to digital and social media initiatives, events, and outreach actions linked to the campaign. • Support documentation and visibility of joint actions and partnerships implemented during the 16 Days of Activism, including brief summaries, visuals, and lessons learned.
