• As an active UN women team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to Un Women and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including: • Timely and accurate support to events, workshops, and missions. • Full compliance of administrative activities with UN Women rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. • Timely recording of overall programme unit finances. • Timely and accurate tracking of data for ICO management and donor purposes. • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and cooperatively and productively both with internal and external colleagues. • Good communication skills and Quality maintenance of internal systems. • Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective is systematically applied, integrated and documented in all activities throughout the assignment • A final statement of achievements towards volunteerism for peace and development during the assignment, such as reporting on the number of volunteers mobilized, activities participated in and capacities developed

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Programme Management Specialist or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Programme Associate will: 1. Provide administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes • Provide administrative support in preparing programme work plans, budgets, and proposals on programme implementation arrangements. • Provide technical guidance to the ICO and executing agencies on standard delivery and reporting of programme-supported activities and extend to include financial reporting. • Prepare information for audit programmes/ projects and support implementing audit recommendations. • Review programme data from programmes/ projects for the ICO website. • Identify sources and gather and compile data and information to prepare documents, guidelines, speeches, and position papers. Provide administrative support to the financial management of the Programme Unit • Create projects in Quantum, prepare budget revisions, revise project awards and status, and determine unutilized funds and a project's operational and financial close. • Provide administrative support in monitoring budget preparation and the finances of programmes/projects, including finalizing FACE forms. • Review financial reports; prepare non-PO vouchers for development projects. • Process payment for consultants. • Maintain internal expenditures control system. • Create requisitions in Quantum for development projects; register good receipts in the system. • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of cost-recovery bills in Quantum 3. Provide administrative support to the Programme Unit • Undertake all logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements for the organization for meetings, workshops, events, and missions. • Make travel arrangements for the Programme Team, including travel requisitions and claims. • Prepare public information materials and briefing packets. • Assemble briefing materials and prepare power-point and other presentations. • Provide guidance and training to Programme Assistants as needed. 4. Provide administrative support to resource mobilization • Prepare cost-sharing and other agreements; follow up on contributions within the ICO resource mobilization efforts. • Organize, compile, and process information from donors, ICO, and programme team as inputs to various databases and documents. 5. Facilitation of knowledge-building and knowledge sharing • Provide administrative support synthesis of lessons learned and best practices related to programme management. • Provide administrative support to organize training for the office staff and partners on the programme and operations-related issues. Performs other official duties and tasks which the Programme Management Specialist and office management may request.

administrative or programme management/support. • Bachelor’s degree Business or Public Administration. • Completion of secondary education required. • Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages; • Experience in the use of Quantum is an asset. • Experience in supporting a team is an asset. • Good knowledge of programme management. • Ability to administer and execute administrative processes and transactions. • Ability to create, edit and present information in clear and presentable formats. • Ability to manage data, documents, correspondence, and reports information and workflow. • Strong financial and budgeting skills. • Strong IT skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development; • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel; • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment; • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines; • Sound security awareness; • Have affinity with or interest in the vision of equality of the UN Women’s work, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. National UN Volunteers receive a volunteer living allowance to sustain a basic, adequate and safe lifestyle. This allowance varies from one location to another depending on local living costs, but all national UN Volunteers in the same location receive the same allowance. Below is a summary of the Conditions of Service. Allowances The purpose of allowances for national UN Volunteers is to enable the national UN Volunteers to sustain a modest and secure standard of living at the duty station. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward or salary in exchange for the volunteer work. Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): All national UN Volunteers are entitled to a monthly volunteer living allowance of USD 1,951.91. The purpose of this allowance is to cover the basic living costs of the national UN Volunteer, and her or his family when applicable. The allowance is to ensure that the volunteer can sustain a basic, adequate and safe lifestyle. The monthly allowance rate is a fixed rate for the duty station as established by UNV headquarters. Resettlement allowance: Eligible national UN Volunteers are entitled to receive a resettlement allowance upon satisfactory completion of the assignment. The allowance assists the volunteer to reintegrate into society both professionally and personally upon completion of their UN Volunteer service.
