The National Programme Associate supports the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by managing data inputs, providing logistical/ administrative and financial support, monitoring project implementation and following up on recommendations. In collaboration with other programme and technical team members, the Programme Associate provides strategic support to evidence-based planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the interventions undertaken by the Partnership Unit, Communications Unit, Evidence and Data Unit, Human Rights and Gender Unit, SRHR and Humanitarian Units. The Programme Associate will also work in close collaboration with the Programme Coordination and Operations Units as well as liaising with the 23 UNFPA WCA Country Offices

The National UNV Programme Associate will work across the different regional Units (Population Data, Research and Policy, Humanitarian Preparedness and Response, Gender and Human Rights, Programme Coordination, Quality assurance and M&E, Reproductive health, Operations Unit, Human Resources Unit) and will play an instrumental role in facilitating UNFPA’s country programme and project implementation, supporting design, planning, administrative and financial management, in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender and youth empowerment. The incumbent will apply established systems and procedures and assist in the creation of knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing relevant information, developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with procedures. The UNV National Programme Associate will provide administrative support to the technical and programme team across the Regional Programmes Unit.

Programme/Administrative/Financial management/business administration ● Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems. ● Previous experience in the UN is an asset. ● Good knowledge of ERP Systems or other web-based integrated systems required. ● Good writing and communication skills
