JOB PURPOSE

This job is located in Hpa Ann Field Office of WFP Myanmar.

To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Associate and overall supervision by the Head of Area Office, Hpa-An, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Perform as a focal for VAM , M&E and COMET for Southeast Operations under Hpa-An areas office
  • Ensure all monthly distribution report have done the data entry in the COMET partnership and vendor creation for sign FLAs and support AO/CO level reconciliations process among COMET and LESS as necessary.
  • Assist the Programme team for beneficiary targeting and community profiling to ensure effective programming; Provide support to monitoring and evaluation processes, prepare a range of reports and data analysis and highlight trends/issues. Participate in the data analysing process of VAM food security surveys, assessments, PDMs collaborating with VAM colleagues, under the supervision of supervisor. Ensure the availability of data and food security information.
  • Facilitate VAM related trainings and workshopsto the implementing partners and other assessment or food security monitoring partners/enumerators on food security analysis, assessment activities and food security monitoring.
  • Ensure the data collection for Market Functionality Index (MFI) for the South East area, analysis of monthly market price, market monitor and food security information to ensure that local context is adequately captured in providing information at regular basis.
  • Ensure effective coordination at local levels with food security assessment and monitoring partners.
  • Ensure gender equality and women's empowerment GEWE as a cross cutting commitment in collaboration with CPs through programme implementation at field level
  • Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure to be able to quickly response deploy needed resources to the affected areas especially conflict –affected areas.
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • University degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus experience) (Or) The undergraduate degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Four more years of responsible programme experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Has facilitated communication with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
  • Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
  • Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.

LANGUAGE

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Myanmar Languages.
