Long Description ---------------- \- Provide technical and administrative assistance to the projects in the SHS area and mainly to the Primeira Infância em Primeiro Lugar project in cooperation with UNESCO; \- Support all phases of the project implementation: identification of needs, proposing actions, technical and financial monitoring; \- Support the Project Officers to work with multilateral and bilateral agencies, as well as with national government and private sector entities; \- Prepare correspondences, documents and reports for supervisor´s signature and actions; \- Prepare background materials, working papers and tables for briefing and review sessions; \- Maintain and keep current registers and control plans on the status of the projects at implementation and operational stages; \- Check documentation received in relation to contracting and paying consultants, companies, services, travel, in order to ensure that details conform with what is recorded on the UNESCO system and are in accordance with the project specifications; Long Description ---------------- \- Assist in the logistics of events regarding financial resources and administrative procedures (price quotations, suppliers, etc.) for seminars, meetings, workshops, etc.; \- Respond to queries and provide advice to external partners regarding: adequate project’s procurement procedures; orientations for entering information on the UNESCO system and budgetary matters; \- Load documentation in relation to contracting and payments for goods, services and travel, on different systems from the projects and UNESCO systems; \- Collect and systematize data and other information to provide inputs for project execution, to be used in meetings, presentations, conferences, etc; \- Prepare financial analysis and budgetary reports, in order to support project monitoring activities; \- Prepare consolidated data related to the development of the project; \- Assist in carrying out specific operational/control tasks for programme implementation; \- Perform other duties as required. Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial reporting and rendering of accounts with the mandatory ability to work with Excel. - Experience in supporting technical or managerial professionals at the national or international level is also required. **SKILLS / COMPETENCIES** - Excellent capacity to collect, synthesize and analyze information from various sources and to write documents in a clear and concise manner. - Proactivity and iniciative; ability and flexibility to manage workload and to work under pressure, with capacity for accuracy, paying close attention to detail and quality of work. - Ability to maintain accurate files and records; good organization skills. - Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals. - Good interpersonal skills with ability to maintain effective working relations within a multi-cultural environment. - Good IT skills (Microsoft package), including good knowledge of standard office software such as excel. For this position, the monthly remuneration, which will be paid in local currency, will be BRL 8.722,63. The initial contract is intended until the end of 2023 and shall be linked to a project-funding source, which is expected to be renewed. Any contract renewal shall be dependent upon budgetary availability and satisfactory services.
