How can you make a difference?

Under the close supervision and guidance of the M&E Specialist, the M & E Programme Assistant supports the respective section by carrying out a range of procedural, administrative, and operational tasks, to help develop, implement, and monitor the country programme and projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant administrative experience is required. For this position a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and intermediate level of English are required.

Desirables:

  • Professional experience in monitoring and evaluation activities is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian) or a local language is an asset.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
