JOB PURPOSE

The overall objective of this position is to facilitate the livelihoods unit at its provincial office Balochistan in programme implementation, documentation and record keeping, progress reports and coordination of field activities by the cooperative partners. The position is based in Quetta while the incumbent is expected to be able to frequently visit field sites in any of the intervention districts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all inclusive)

1. Provide assistance to the programme unit in compilation of progress reports, information briefs, and any similar information or reporting requirements by the respective programme unit. 2. Provide support to the livelihoods interventions in the districts to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following WFP’s policies and procedures. 3. Within the specific area of responsibility, assist in preparation of a range of reports and data analyses (e.g. programme status, performance, resource utilization) and assist in identifying and highlighting trends/ issues ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control. 4. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data for all field activities including beneficiary registration, cash and food disbursement records, intervention details inlcuding structural, non-structural communal asset rehabilitation, skills trainings, and awareness raising while ensuring consistency of information being compiled over time. 5. Provide timely assistance to programme unit in coordination for field level interventions with the cooperative partners. 6. Act as a point of contact for addressing and responding to the queries related to field interventions under the overall supervision of the unit head of livelihoods at provincial office. 7. Oversee and/or review the work of other support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to contribute to delivering objectives to agreed standards and deadlines. 8. Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: University degree in Social Sciences, project management, climate change or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in programs implementation preferrably in livelihoods, social mobilization and capacity building. - Experience in program roles at provincial level - Has the experience of implementing programmes in relief and recovery operations

- Experience working in districts across Balochistan

Knowledge & Skills:

- Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word and other. - Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision. - Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals. - Ability to offer guidance or basic on-the-job training to more junior staff

Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English, Urdu. Fluency in other local languages used in Balochistan is preferable.
