The Incumbent is expected to provide specialized, comprehensive support to implementing programme activities related to cultural heritage and the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property in a timely, accurate and pro-active manner in compliance with relevant HR, Administrative and Financial rules and regulations of the Organization, practices, procedures, guidelines, protocols. The volume and complexity of work requires a high attention to detail and accuracy. Typical work involves: \- Provide data for the preparation of reports on programme execution. \- Provide support in preparation of outreach activities, special events, and capacity-building/training workshops. \- Provide support in assessing needs for meetings/events/workshops/seminars, travel, document processing/publication production and consultants/temporary assistance, and coordinate office support services for the same. \- Maintain and update programme documentation and records, research, and track background information and documentation. \- Provide and/or coordinate general office assistance (translation, printing, dispatch of information documents for statutory meetings, etc.) as required. Long Description ---------------- **ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT** The incumbent is required to operate independently under overall guidance provided by her/his supervisor. The work is carried out in an environment where priorities and timeframes might change, and where programme-related decisions are taken using data/information/ working documents provided by the Contract holder. The Incumbent is expected to establish effective working relationships with internal and external team members and partners in order to obtain/provide/exchange information and to discuss/resolve problems related to cultural heritage and the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property in the countries covered by the UNESCO Regional Office in San José. • The Service Contract assignment is for 11 months, tentatively from February to December, 2025. • Extension of the Service Contract is subject to satisfactory performance, continued need of the services/tasks and availability of funds. **REMUNERATION** Level 2. Grade SC5 Step 1.
