Duties and Responsibilities
The project assistant will provide administrative and project management support to UNEP in the implementation of its “UNEP India Cooling Programme” under the framework of the Cool Coalition and United for Efficiency Initiative. This programme will operate for at least the next 4 years and, subject to strong performance, the project assistant will be required throughout this period. The Cool Coalition is a global multi-stakeholder network that connects a wide range of key actors from government, cities, international organizations, businesses, finance, academia, and civil society groups to facilitate knowledge exchange, advocacy and joint action towards a rapid global transition to efficient and climate-friendly cooling and heat resilience. The Secretariat of the Cool Coalition is based in UNEP. UNEP seeks support in the administration, coordination and organization of its India Cooling Programme.
Qualifications/special skills
Education: Undergraduate university degree A minimum of five years of work experience. Previous experience working in financial management is an advantage. Qualifying years of experience are calculated following the receipt of the first level university degree recognized by the United Nations.
Languages
Languages: Be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
