Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

This UNV assignment is part of one of UNDP flagship 2022 initiatives, supporting Egypt’s hosting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 27th Conference of Parties (UNFCCC CoP27)

Under the direct supervision of Environment Team Leader (Assistant Resident Representative) , the UN Specialist Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

1) Provide contribution as part of the environment team to organization and logistics of events necessary to UNDP support to the Government of Egypt organization of UNFCCC CoP27 2) Support as part of the team with draft concept notes, and proposals, under the guidance of the supervisor and in coordination with key partners. 3) Participate in the team’s programme design and development, elaborating work plans, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, report writing, and capturing lessons learned. 4) Partake in coordinating activities with UNDP existing national and international partners and stakeholders. 5) Support networking and liaising with national and international partners. 6) Undertake short research and analysis, sharing knowledge, and participate in information exchange fora. 7) Contribute to information gathering and analysis on areas of relevance to the Environment Team 8) Contribute other support to the Environment team.
