This position is part of the Research, Analysis and Learning (RAL) team – a dynamic group of individuals who use technology, creativity, and innovation to expand RAI’s capacity to be more evidence-based and data driven; ensuring learnings from our practice inform our work through informational and instructional design, and externally, influence the work of our sector through training and technical assistance programs.

Job Overview:

The Program Officer for Organizational Performance will support RAI’s plan to strengthen its data capability to be more of a data driven decision-making department by 1) supporting the coordination and planning of major initiatives and processes related to organizational performance 2) providing data analysis and report writing support for various initiatives related to organizational performance and 3) helping with communication and dissemination of performance data for internal and external audiences. The position will also be involved in various special projects that help inform organizational performance. The position will report to the Director of Organizational Performance and will collaborate with teams within the RAL unit and across the RAI department and IRC.

Major Responsibilities: ------------------------------

- Support the coordination and planning of various annual, quarterly and monthly planning processes that inform departmental organizational performance such as the Delivery Letter, the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Risk Report Cards, S100 and the Data Excellence Initiative. - Support the development of capacity in organizational performance in offices, units, and programs. - Help set up, promote, get uptake of data collection systems that would help track data for the Delivery Letter and other ambitions and initiatives. - Support the collection of data to track progress for Delivery Letter, ERM and RAI Scorecards and other initiatives that help track organizational performance. - Support creating data visualization dashboards and tools to disseminate data and information related to organizational performance. - Help with drafting reports and presentations and disseminating information for various audiences, including the RAI Executive Leadership Team and IRC’s Leadership Board. - Serve as a thought partner and support the Director of Organizational Performance to realize organizational performance visions. - Implement special projects as requested by the Director of Organizational Performance. - Be a team player and collaborate with various teams within the RAL unit, RAI department and the wider IRC on special initiatives and projects. - Be a role model for the IRC Way and create a collaborative environment of equality, diversity and inclusion, within a culture of care and well-being for the staff and clients.

Job Requirements: ------------------------

- University degree (four year, B.A.) required; advanced degree in related field preferred. - Minimum 3 years of related program management and data analysis experience including data management and report writing. - Excellent writing abilities – flair for simple and clear writing, great grammar, and well-honed editorial skills. - Data enthusiast – problem solver who can pull and analyze data to uncover trends and opportunities that help leadership make informed decisions. - Highly organized self-starter with proven success managing multiple priorities, making critical decisions, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. - Strong presentation skills – comfortable leading meetings, providing presentation training and prep to participants. - Strong graphic and information design skills. - Easily navigates technology - proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop publishing and data visualization tools. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships and work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and to meet crisis communications and time limitations with persistence and humor.

Preferred experience & skills: -----------------------------------------

- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Data Visualization tools like Power BI. - Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels. - Ability to handle and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Working Environment: ---------------------------

- This position can be based at IRC’s headquarters in New York, or remotely within the United States.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
