The Program Officer, Data and Knowledge Management, US Legal Services, supports the Legal Services Technical Unit at IRC Headquarters and immigration legal services across RAI’s network of 24 US offices, which collectively serve 15,000 immigration clients per year. The position provides support, guidance, and training to local program offices and HQ colleagues. This role will support an on-going transition to a new, online legal case management system. The Program Officer plays a pivotal role in maintaining and organizing resources and facilitating learning and knowledge sharing across IRC’s network of legal programs. This position will report to the Director, U.S. Legal Services.

Responsibilities:

Data Management

- Become an expert in reporting on IRC’s legal services, and regularly provide data and analysis for reports, proposals, and tracking, including on national grants and subcontracts; prepare annual data analytics report for US Legal Services - Identify staff training needs related to using the online case management system and develop and provide materials, training, and resources to address these needs. - Serve as the main point of contact with an external case management software company that provides IRC’s online legal case management system. - Respond to inquiries from staff regarding data entry and using the case management system; investigate and troubleshoot challenges. - Prepare and disseminate monthly US Legal Services Newsletter

Knowledge Management

- Manage intranet resources and pages specific to US legal services, including organizing materials, keeping information current, and structuring the pages to be accessible and user friendly. - Support regular virtual training and meetings as well as in-person conferences and meetings by providing administrative and logistical support. - Create additional training resources, such as modules and videos. - Facilitate sharing of resources and materials across all offices in a way that is conducive to learning. - Assist in the on-boarding of new immigration staff by sharing information and adding them to relevant distribution lists and networks - Maintain accurate directory and email distribution list of all immigration staff across the US network. - Manage billing, track funds, and provide other administrative support related to US legal services programs - Prepare applications for DOJ Accreditation for signature and submission. - Special projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree required. - Minimum 3-5 years of work related to data and knowledge management, preferably in a nonprofit setting. - Prior experience with legal services case management systems - Prior experience working in non-profit immigration legal services preferred. - Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse, fast-paced environment. - Experience working with data management systems and IT with demonstrated creativity and ability to troubleshoot digital technology. - Experience with adult learning and developing curricula or training resources highly desired. - Strong critical thinking, research, and analytical skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Solid training, presentation, and team building skills. - Highly proficient in Microsoft applications and internet - Fluency in English, written and spoken. - Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings as required.

Working Environment:

- Occasional domestic travel as needed to attend meetings. - This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
