Overview

Support and manage humanitarian fund operations.

You have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent, preferably in Humanitarian/Development Studies.
  • 24 months of experience in Reporting/Project Management.
  • Fluent in English (Mandatory).
  • Excellent computer literacy and skills required, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Competencies include Client Orientation, Commitment and Motivation, Communication, Creativity, Integrity, Working in Teams.

Contract

This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision the , Fund Manager of the South Sudan Humanitarian Fund, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Keep track with global Country Based Pool Fund (CBPF) activities;
  • Support the Fund Manager and SSHF Humanitarian Financing Unit by participating in the process of project selection and technical review during SSHF allocation;
  • Support SSHF reporting processes, ensuring evidence-based analysis of the performance and results achieved through activities undertaken by Implementing Partners;
  • Under the guidance of the Fund Manager, train national NGOs in various humanitarian financing topics as well as SSHF procedures;
  • Support Humanitarian Financing Unit in all issues regarding SSHF NGO eligibility and NGO capacity assessment
