World Vision Sudan (WVS) is working on partnering with the World Food Programme (WFP) to manage an Integrated Food and Cash Assistance Program covering General Food Assistance (GFA), Nutrition, School Meals and Resilience project models. These project are targeting about 500, 000 participants in South Darfur State by 2004. Thise position will therefore provide overall leadership for the implementation of this programme within South Darfur State in line with WFP & WVI minimum standards and guidelines. The Project Manager will lead the coordination and collaboration with World Food Programme, WV Sectors, the State Government Line Ministries, and other partners in ensuring the program objectives and outputs are achieved.
CASH & COMMODITIES MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING Manage the planning, implementation, receipt, storage, dispatch, distribution, monitoring, and documentation of commodities/cash with World Vision Standards and WFP regulations. Ensure that the Cash/Commodities reports are accurate and reliable with the relevant supporting documentation available and submitted timely to WFP and shared World Vision International (WVI) internal stakeholders.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Manage the budget and production of Financial Reports in conjunctions with Finance Unit and ensure spending and expenditures are within budget and adhere to donor requirements. Ensure no over/under spending on projects.
NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION Attend key humanitarian meeting including WFP Cooperating Partners meeting and working with the Operations Manager, ensure relevant Cluster Meetings (Food Security, Nutrition & Education) are attended.
to support the unit strategy initiatives and ensuring the reporting requirements for Disaster Management Team and WFP are met b) Responsible for liaising with the Area Manager on Risk, Staff Safety and Security Management c) Responsible for Accountability to Affected Population, leading the Monitoring and Evaluation, and Learnings for the program.
