Provide programmatic support for Social Justice Team projects
You have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in arts and science or a related area is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative assistance is required.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
- Knowledge of French is beneficial.
Result of Service The contractor will need to provide substantive, procedural and implementation support to the various projects and ongoing technical cooperation activities of the Social Justice Team.

Duties and Responsibilities The services of an Individual Contractor (IC) are needed to provide substantive and programmatic support on subjects related to the technical cooperation work of the Social Justice Team.
The IC's responsibilities will be focused on the following:
- Provide substantive and programmatic support on subjects related to the technical cooperation work of the Social Justice Team: this includes reviewing existing literature and country reports, conducting desk review on specific topics; collecting quantitative and qualitative data from secondary sources, summarizing and presenting data in different formats. - Assist in the preparation and review of written outputs developed by the social justice team e.g. background papers, technical papers, sections of reports and studies, inputs to assessments. - Draft inputs to presentations, speeches, website and research papers. - Assist in the organization of expert group meetings, conferences or workshops related to the work of the team. - Support the deployment of online surveys and other tools and the collection, validation and tabulation of related data to facilitate analysis. - Prepare minutes of meetings - Draft reports of workshops as requested in Arabic & English. - Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications/special skills A Bachelor's Degree in arts and science or a related area is required.

Languages Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA.
For this position, fluency in Arabic and English is required.
Note: “Fluency” equals a rating of ‘fluent’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and “Knowledge of” equals a rating of ‘confident’ in two of the four areas.
