Program Analyst
Contract

Eligibility criteria
Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of task
Within the delegated authority of the Deputy Resident Representative/Programme and Operations (DRR/P&O) or his/her designated mandated representatives and under the supervision of the Assistant Resident Representative/Programme (ARR/P), the UNV Programme Analyst Specialist will:
- Provide support to project formulation and monitoring with a focus on management and ensure project management in Atlas in support of the Programme Clusters
- Provide support to the ARR/P and Program Managers in all areas of Programme Management and Resource Mobilization in concordance with Programme Unit Dashboard requirements
- Support and ensure the quality in the Programme execution, (ex: provision of support to monitoring project quality insurance, projects audit recommendations implementation, programme dashboard follow-up, pipeline follow-up, projects and programme monitoring and evaluation, donors reporting, UNSDF reporting
- Promote a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations
- Grant a qualitative support to national implementation, help build capacity of national implementing partners and fast-track processes to ensure timely delivery
- Produce management information for project oversight and participate in monitoring activities as applicable
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level:
Master degree or equivalent
Education - Additional Comments:
Master’s Degree or equivalent in, Economics, Environment and Climate Change.
Required experience:
60 Months
Experience remark:
- At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Economics, Environment and Climate Change
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organization
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines
