Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position is assigned in the Procurement Division 2 (PFP2) within the Procurement, Portfolio and Financial Management Department (PPFD). PPFD’s responsibilities include project-related financial management, consultant recruitment, Executing Agency procurement reviews, project implementation, portfolio management and project performance management. In addition, our teams are involved in a number of initiatives and have introduced certain changes to procedures to improve ADB’s performance with respect to consultant recruitment, procurement reviews, project implementation, portfolio management and project performance management.

The incumbent will report to Director, PFP2 and will supervise National and Administrative Staff.

Your Role

The Procurement Specialist in the Consulting Services Unit (CSU) is expected to complete a variety of tasks, covering all or a combination of the following functions: (i) provide assistance, technical guidance and capacity development to ensure compliance with ADB’s consulting services procurement policies and procedures; (ii) support improvements in the implementation performance of ADB technical assistance (TA) and staff consultancy ; (iii) advise ADB staff on the procurement, contracting and contract management of Consultants; (iv) assist in the establishment, harmonization and improvement of procurement policies and procedures, consistent with effective Consultant; and (v) oversee the operational output of one of CSU’s sub-unit.
