in Angola will work to support the establishment of the entire supply chain, from product selection to the rational use of medicines with Global Fund methodology and that programs successfully reach their targets.

Procurement in Global Fund-financed projects is governed by the same regulations, rules and procedures applicable to other procurement activities by UNDP under the principles: a) Provide the best value for money, b) Embody fairness, integrity, transparency, c) Engage in effective international competition and d) Serve the interests of UNDP.

Value for Money is about providing services of the right quality, level and cost that reflect the needs and priorities of customers, council taxpayers and the wider community.

The UNV PSM Specialist will be monitoring the routine tracking of the key elements of programme/project performance, usually inputs (e.g. activities, staff, curricula, materials) and outputs (e.g. intervention sessions completed, people reached, materials distributed, antiretrovirals (ARVs) distributed etc.) through proper record-keeping, regular reporting and surveillance systems, as well as service delivery point observation and client surveys.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Head of Unit or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer PSM Specialist will: • Support customs clearance processes in liaison with the PSM Assistant • Support on verification of quantity and quality on arrival of goods at port and health units • Support the reception of health products at the Benguela and Cuanza Sul health units; ensure that Delivery Notes Reception Reports are issued and are on file. • Support the administrative processes related to the quality control of health products. • Organize the archiving of health procurement documentation. • Preparation of financial and accounting documents; • Maintenance of the Centre’s calendar, contact list, arrangement of appointments and meetings. Maintenance of protocol procedures; • Coordination of the information flow in the office and arrangement of on/off-line team meetings; • Preparation of informal translations/interpretation; • Administration of supply and assets management; • Provision of technical support in development/maintenance of digital platforms/social media channels where requested. • Screening of incoming calls and correspondence; arranging world-wide telephone and video conferences. • Organization of workshops and conferences in coordination with other staff; support for international participants’ travel and logistics matters. • Provision of support to the Greening UNDP initiatives and activities as a task force team member. • Provision of wide range of support on administration/programme activities.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are encouraged to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through engagement with communities in the course of their work. As such, UN Volunteers should dedicate a part of their working time to some of the following suggested activities: • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day); • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country; • Provide annual and end of assignment self-reports on UN Volunteer actions, results and opportunities.
• Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.; • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers; • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

logistics, inventory management and R&I (Receiving & Inspection) • 3 years of relevant professional experience in procurement and supply management • Experience in logistics management, including inventory management • Experience in the use of tools and in complying with procedures and international standards for the procurement of goods and services

• Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment. • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills. • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing. • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.

The contract lasts for the period indicated above with possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment. The applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is pro-vided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents - except for UN Community Volunteers), as well as final repatriation (if applicable).
