What we are looking for:

NRC head office in Norway is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Private Sector Partnerships Adviser to drive strategic partnerships, expand funding opportunities, and strengthen relationships with private sector partners. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong track record in fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will manage an existing partnership portfolio while building a robust pipeline of new partners through grants, strategic collaborations, and pro bono initiatives. Working closely with internal teams, the adviser will identify and pursue joint opportunities that advance NRC’s mission and impact.

As part of the Global Business Operations team, the adviser will play a key role in coordinating private sector partnership efforts across NRC departments, Regional Offices, Country Offices, and Representation Offices. In addition to partnership management, the role includes supporting partner engagement, relationship stewardship, and key administrative processes to ensure an excellent partner experience, as well as managing special projects across the function.

What you will do:

Some of your generic responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate new private sector partnerships and manage active relationships and collaborations with partners, through different approaches such as grants and pro bono with required return of investment.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive partnerships growth activities.
  • Contribute to implementing NRC’s fundraising strategy, tools, and systems.
  • Provide training and support to relevant staff throughout the organisation.
  • Conduct market analysis, mapping, and research.
  • Develop and manage external communications products, marketing, and reports for private sector partners
  • Manage special projects i.e. fundraising campaigns, internal projects, portfolio processes.
  • Conduct compliance checks and due diligence/vetting on potential partners.
  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures, and a specific responsibility for Private Fundraising policies and procedures.

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the section’s strategies in collaboration with the section’s Global Leads and director.
  • Contribute to the development of the section’s routines and procedures.
  • Carry out any other tasks relevant to the function and the position, as delegated by the line manager.

  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Travel: 10%
  • Salary/benefits: Grade 8 on Resident contract terms.
