  1. Background and Justification:

The Country Office is operating in an upper-middle income country context. Mobilizing financial resources from the general public and private sector in support of the most disadvantaged children in Belarus is a key component in the Country Programme.

The Fundraising Consultant’s critical role is to systemize and automatize the working process with individual pledges, to develop and maintain the client’s database (CRM software), and to implement digital marketing tools for communication with donors, reporting and analysis.

The Consultant contributes to change in social attitudes regarding individual philanthropy and social responsibility.

  1. PURPOSE/ Objective:

The consultancy will focus on work with individual pledges aiming at digitalization and sustainable implementation of programmes and projects with individual pledges preparing all the necessary docflow and ensuringe that fundraising programmes are delivered through a structured system that allows follow-up and evaluation.

  1. Key Tasks:
  • Executing, monitoring and evaluating fundraising activities with individual pledges in order to increase fundraising revenue and strengthen loyalty of individual donors.
  • Developing and maintaining a database of all partnerships and individual donors by implementing CRM software. Monitoring accuracy and consistency of the data and analysis.
  • Supporting Private Partnership sector with CRM software.
  • Executing fundraising activities related to acquisition of new individual donors through various channels. Contribute to assembling needed services and technical requirements for developments of new individual donors’ channels.
  • Implementing innovations and digitalizing processes that would allow to maximize fundraising capacity and speed up business processes.
  • Implementing marketing campaigns and tools of digital communication to attract new individual donors, facilitate ongoing interest and long-term retention of individual donors. Coordinate the administrative processes and tasks related to the support of the marketing activities. Establish and manage relationships with suppliers. Provide quality control for the requested services and supplies.
  • Provide detailed analyses, in-depth reports and forecasts on Fundraising. Analyze received data and prepare reports.
  1. DELIVERABLES.

Deliverables are according to the Action Plan, which is approved by the Supervisor on a monthly basis.

  1. Supervision, Work Relations & Oversight

This consultancy is under the supervision of Private Sector Partnership Officer. Selected consultant will closely work with other colleagues from the Private Partnership and Communication sections.

  1. TRAVEL

If UNICEF determines that the Contractor needs to travel to perform his or her assignment, that travel shall be specified in the contract and the Contractor’s travel costs shall be set out in the contract: In cases where travel costs have not been set out in the individual contract, the consultant and individual contractors are expected to submit, within ten days of completion of a specific travel, a voucher for reimbursement of travel expenses to the Operations section. Reimbursements shall only be processed if travel was duly authorized in the individual contract or by an authorized manager of the contracting section, in writing and prior to the travel. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for assuming costs for obtaining visas and travel insurance. Exact locations and the schedule of activities will be defined by UNICEF. Travel expenses will be covered in accordance with UNICEF guidelines.

  1. PAYMENT CONDITIONS:

Payment will be conducted in a lumpsum on a monthly basis upon the completion of the estimated tasks and provision of the report. Payment will be in US Dollars.

It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to settle all relevant taxes.

The employment is full time, 8 hours a day.

8. UNSATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE:

Payment of fees to the Contractor under this contractor, including each installment or periodic payment (if any), is subject to the Contractor’s full and complete performance of his or her obligations under this contract regarding such payment to UNICEF’s satisfaction, and UNICEF’s certification to that effect.

UNICEF reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of payment if performance is unsatisfactory, if work/outputs is incomplete, not delivered or for failure to meet deadlines. All materials developed will remain the copyright of UNICEF and that UNICEF will be free to adapt and modify them in the future. This ToR is an integral part of the contract (SSA) signed with the consultant.

9. QUALIFICATIONS OR SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • University degree in technical support, marketing, sales or financial management;
  • A minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, technical support, financial management;
  • Experience of working with customer database and digitalization.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills;
  • Solid understanding of fundraising mechanisms;
  • Good understanding of digital marketing and communication;
  • Prior experience and hands on knowledge of managing large scale fundraising projects is an asset;
  • Working knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products;
  • Fluent English is an asset.

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
