You have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Limited relevant experience in handling printing equipment and providing printing services is required.
  • Good printing skills are required.
  • Good knowledge to maintain and use the Heidelberg printing machine is required.
  • Good manual skills to handle stamps and other philatelic products are required.
  • Professionalism, client-orientation and accountability are required.
  • Flexibility in working days is required.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Result of Service

High-quality printing from the Heidelberg machine of all philatelic products requiring cancellations and printing. Efficient and proper handling of the Heidelberg machine which requires special printing knowledge. A high rate of client satisfaction with high-quality philatelic products.

Work Location

Location of work will be home based at the UNPA Printing Room, Vienna International Centre, Wagramerstrasse 5, 1400 Vienna, Austria.

Duties and Responsibilities

The contractor will assist in setting up and maintaining the Heidelberg printing machine. The contractor will ensure the timely delivery of the required number of First Day Covers, cancelled stamps sheets and other philatelic products, requiring cancellation and printing. Perform other printing duties as assigned.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English and German is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
