Org. Setting and Reporting The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Principal Training Centre through the Admin Officer.

Responsibilities In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent as a member of the Family Health Team (FHT) where assigned: •Performs nursing activities required for child care, pre-conception care, antenatal care, postnatal care, diabetic and hypertensive cases including screening and health education activities; •Carries out nursing tasks related to school health activities including vaccination, height and weight measurement, vision and hearing screening where applicable; •Conducts home-visits for growth retarded, anemic, defaulting bedridden/disabled patients; •Keeps adequate recording of received and used supplies needed for the nursing activities in her/his assigned working station; •Maintains a high standard of infection control to ensure safety of staff and clients; •Complies with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment; •Provides services through the electronic medical records system (E-Health), including data entry and proper recording; •Performs such other duties as may be required.

Competencies You will also need to demonstrate the following competencies: •Good communication skills and maintains effective working relationships with staff and clients; •Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload; •Adequate computer skills; •Self-motivated and shows willingness to learn from others. •Acts in accordance with the professional ethics and values

Education- Full secondary education; - Completion of a two-year diploma in nursing from a recognized institution. - Possession of a license to practice nursing services (where applicable).

Work Experience At least two years experience in a similar role.

Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications.

Languages Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
